“24-7 Worship”

Hello everyone,

A while back, Tanya shared something with me that, on the one hand is quite simple and obvious, but yet on the other, quite amazing and vastly beautiful.

It’s this: At any given time, God is being worshiped by His creation!

“24-7″ stands for 24 hours and 7 days a weeks.  It’s true, God is always being worshipped.  From scripture we find that the mountains and valleys glorify His name.  The trees “clap” in worshipping Him.  Tonight we are even singing the song, Forever, by Chris Tomlin, which uses the Psalms passages of us singing praise because His love endures forever.  So Tanya, simply pointed out, that as the world turns, and the times zones change, some church (big or little, in a cathedral or a house), somewhere is worshipping God, and the Scriptures are once again, TRUE!

For me, tonight will be pretty cool from my little mind’s perspective.  As we begin our Lift service here in Zug, Tanya and the kids will be also beginning a worship service at the Rocky Mountain Bible Church in Frisco, Colorado (U.S.A) AT THE SAME TIME, but morning for them and evening for us.  And somewhere in between, Stami and IBCZ began praising the Lord hours ago right here in Switzerland, and even earlier our brother and sisters in Christ were praising the Lord (while we were still sleeping) in places like India, Russia, New Zealand and Australia!

Here are just a couple passages to remind us of constant praise to Him:

Isa 55:12
12 You will go out in joy
and be led forth in peace;
the mountains and hills
will burst into song before you,
and all the trees of the field
will clap their hands.
NIV

Ps 98:4-9
4 Shout for joy to the LORD, all the earth,
burst into jubilant song with music;
5 make music to the LORD with the harp,
with the harp and the sound of singing,
6 with trumpets and the blast of the ram’s horn–
shout for joy before the LORD, the King.

7 Let the sea resound, and everything in it,
the world, and all who live in it.
8 Let the rivers clap their hands,
let the mountains sing together for joy;
9 let them sing before the LORD,
NIV

Ps 66:4
4 All the earth bows down to you;
they sing praise to you,
they sing praise to your name.”
NIV

SPECIAL UPDATE FROM THE BEST'S

Hello All,

SPECIAL UPDATE FROM THE BEST’S:  In regards to my “job” circumstance here in Switzerland……..

A few hours ago, I had a second interview that ended up in basically being about “working out the details” of my new job!  In a few days, I will receive a letter with the final details and start either April or May 1st. After God makes it “official” I may have more to say in this matter, but I want to express today in a simple manner that “OUR GOD IS AN AWESOME GOD!”  To Him be all the Glory!  Thank you all for your encouragment and prayer support for our family!  It is a pleasure to be in this country and serve the Lord Jesus Christ alongside each and all of you!!!

This start date being after Easter gives me more time to do the “work” that I am really in this country for!!  Let’s simply LIFT up the name of Jesus and see His kingdom grow through OUR (yes, this is you and us together as LIFT) ministry here in ZUG!

We are “ON” THIS SUNDAY LIFT NIGHT, and look forward to seeing you there

Have a wonderful week, as we definitely are!!

In Him,
Corey

It's all about………WORSHIP!

Hello All,

It’s all about………WORSHIP! For then next few weeks at LIFT we will be talking about “what we are” as a ministry.  If you have not seen the website yet, have a look and see “what we are”! www.liveitandgiveit.com The paragraph begins with “We are a people……” and this paragraph speaks volumes of what we are about for Jesus Christ, both individually and as a group.  This week we are focusing on WORSHIP.

Speaking about volume…..let’s turn it up a bit and let others know we are around.  Now that we have “LAUNCHed” (and what a launch it was!), it’s going to be totally NORMAL and EXPECTED for the initial flight of this LIFTed mission to have ups and downs in regards to attendance.  That’s O.K. and the point is, GOD brings in who He brings in.  Let’s enjoy the ride, regardless of the expectations!  That being said, until we have a larger core group involved, it’s good to set visible “markers” to use as momentum builders.

Our next big event “marker” is the Easter weekend and CELEBRATING OUR RISEN SAVIOR!!   We will be having a free public viewing of the Passion of the Christ film on Friday, March 25th.  This is a powerful movie that shares the love of Jesus (by dying for each of us) in an impacting way.  At Easter Sunday’s LIFT Night (March 27th) we will celebrate Communion (Lord’s Supper) together and focus on the joy in celebrating our RISEN Jesus as Savior!

In the meantime, it will be wonderful to grow this part of Jesus’ Kingdom together each week on Sunday night at LIFT.  By the way, word is getting out.  I understand we are getting a bit of mention in the International School of Zug’s Feb. newsletter.  Also, this week we have been added to the XpatXchange website and as of this past Friday we will be in the “churches” section of the Neue Zuger Zeitung (and Luzerner) newspaper each week.

We serve and WORSHIP an awesome God!

In His grip and grace,
Corey and Tanya
