For many of us, even in such a small group, this has been a “rollercoaster” week full of big decisions and circumstances. Praise God, that He IS in control! As we are beginning to share life together, it was a week of praying for one another! Let us remember always to do just that, pray for one another and “LIFT” each other up in the name of Jesus Christ.
James 5:16b- “The prayer of a righteous man is powerful and effective” NIV- Believe it!
So………to help with the “stress” of the world, how about something on the lighter side to bring a smile to your heart. I’m sure in the future I may have a few “typos” or written “mistakes” that may come out wrong, but from the right heart. The following are a few examples of such things that have been printed in church bulletins that prove humor is healthy!
Thank God for church ladies with typewriters. These sentences actually appeared in church bulletins or were announced in church services:
-Bertha Belch, a missionary from Africa, will be speaking tonight at Calvary Methodist. Come hear Bertha Belch all the way from Africa.
-The Fasting & Prayer Conference includes meals.
-The sermon this morning: “Jesus walks on the Water.” The sermon tonight: “Searching for Jesus.”
-Ladies, don’t forget the rummage sale. It’s a chance to get rid of those things not worth keeping around the house. Don’t forget your husbands.
-The peacemaking meeting scheduled for today has been canceled due to a conflict.
Have a great weekend!
In His grip and grace,
Corey and Tanya
